Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, 2005

In his bestseller, Californian biologist Jared Diamond argues that there are only five factors that civilizations owe their survival to, or, as in the case of the Maya and Anasazi Indians, their disappearance in the dark of history. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County commissioned François Confino and Jochen Hunger to translate Diamond's story into an exhibition. The 700 m² exhibition was designed to be easy to transport from the start and provides an interactive and intuitive link between Jared Diamond's theses and the globalized world.
